Verizon's wireless chief, Ronan Dunne, said, "We stopped talking about it [5G], we're doing it. It's here and now" at his keynote starting day two at Mobile World Congress Americas. "Customers today in L.A. can sign up and join the 5G revolution. People will think back to where they were when this happened and we were here. It's that revolutionary."
Starting this morning, consumers in Houston, Indianapolis, Sacramento and Los Angeles began to sign up for Verizon 5G Home at FirstOn5G.com.
"With 5G Home, you now have choice for wireless internet connectivity at home at a level never experienced before. It's 4K and 8K streaming video, and home automation that can all be managed by the smartphone in your pocket," said Dunne.
