Is Reliance Jio putting the focus to WiFi again?
According to a report by Telecom Talk, Reliance Jio has been testing its Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWi-Fi) in various regions such as Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Kerala.
it was reported that Reliance Jio will 'soon be launching' this service. The service — which will help a mobile user initiate an internet call using the nearest public Wi-Fi network and route it to the destination mobile or landline network — can tackle the problem of call drops various rural areas as well as urban areas. A senior official at the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) said that security testing of Jio's service has been completed.
